Welcome to our Kennel

Thank you for stopping by and welcome to Arcticbreeze Kennels website, a small dedicated Kennel based in Rural South Cheshire where every day the health, happiness and well being of our dogs is our priority. To introduce myself I am Lisa and together with husband Wayne have embraced the active, fun and amazing life we have with our Alaskan Malamutes.

I am very proud to have produced some top working and showing Malamutes during this time.

Always happy to share what I have learnt over the years to new owners and exhibitors.

Alaskan Malamutes

The Arcticbreeze Story...

After falling in love with the breed in the mid nineties, I was lucky enough to become a Malamute owner in 2003 when Storm (Koldsnap Stormy Blue at Arcticbreeze) bouncing into my life much to the initial disgust of Thunder and Lightening (The Cats), Storm and I became partners in crime and we started to tag along to the shows with her Breeder. I soon got the bug!!!

We planned our first breeding with the most impressive Spanish import Imokam Bufalo von Polarpaws and Storm, Breeze (Arcticbreeze Lady Imocara )was our keeper, we were very lucky to have the most wonderful people waiting to join the Arcticbreeze family. We formed lovely friendships with our puppy buyers,

By this time Wayne had also got the showing bug too and in addition when they were old enough Breeze made her debut on the trials with her litter brother Vinnie, Never the fastest team but they were willing and together with Wayne they learnt the ropes.

In 2007 we moved house just in time for the arrival of Am Ch America Catera's Just Showin off (Bugatti) after a whirlwind romance Storm produced an amazing litter. Misty and Mikey were here to stay, They often went head to head in the puppy challenges at the shows but it was evident that this brother and Sister team were going to excel on the trails, along with a regimental training programme they were prolific winners on the trails for the next few years.

We began to enjoy successes on the trials and in the show ring, if we weren't at a show we would be at a rally.(Results can be found on our highlights page)

Three years later we planned two additions, but it didn't quite pan out this way.. our pack of four became nine ... yes nine, At this point life became rather crazy (but in a good way)

Misty had her litter the sire was 'Nero' Vvanilla Snoman Del Biagio At Wintadreama SHCM (IMP ITA) owned by Sarah Towers & Neil Rivers, not only did this result in a litter a breeder can only dream of but it formed a very special friendship between Sarah and I. After much deliberation we decided we couldn't not keep a girl and a boy from this litter, Sid and Echo were here to stay.

Just four days later my little rays of sunshine Team Musketeers were born these were Breeze and Logan ... (Kasaan Take your fortune and Run) kids, This litter being hand reared, getting attached was hard and we ended up keeping three pups Timmy and Litter sisters Wizz and Gracie.

With several dogs to show (also showing the Arcticbreeze Extended family) Sarah kindly stepped in to assist and handle and help out at the shows, so we became as we like to say 'Dog Sisters', Sid and Echo just like Misty and Mikey took it in turns to be awarded many top awards

The trails also became quite fun, with both Wayne and I competing together, or should I say against one another, in combinations of two three and four dog teams, All of our teams excelled on the trails, Misty and Mikey had become legendary and Team Muskets were proving to be the peoples favourite, they certainly were little rockets. They all have had numerous wins between them. We have been delighted to see all of our teams consistently in the top placings.

Squeak our rescued Mal X Husky entered into our lives in 2011 following a call from the local vets, Initially to keep her safe from a dreaded final vets appointment, upon meeting her an the realization of her needs we couldn't see her endure any further stress so at the age of nine she joined our pack and enjoyed life as an honoury Malamute.

Shortly after I decided to serve on the Alaskan Malamute Club UK Committee and took on the roles of treasurer and Rescue Liason co ordinator during this time. I also started to judge our breed, Having completed all KC requirements, Seminar and hands on assessment I am now on the Breeds B list.

Breeze won the first CC for our kennel in 2011 and then showing success really took off for us by 2013 Echo gain her UK Champion title. by 2014 became UK Bitch breed record holder with 23 Challenge Certificates, Sid, and Misty flying the flag too with CC's and RCC's to their credit.

To date all of our dogs which are or have been shown have achieved stud book numbers which qualifies them for Crufts for life.
Our Kennel to date has 27 CC's and 26 RCC's, We have had many wins at Crufts and have won BEST IN SHOW, Reserve Best In Show TWICE AND BEST PUPPY IN SHOW and BEST VETERAN IN SHOW TWICE. Check out our highlights page for Pictures and results.

The prestigious AMCUK Malamute of the year awards also have seen our kennel over the years win TOP OVERALL Malamute, TOP WORKING DOG and BITCH, VETERAN and BROOD BITCH , The list goes on.

We would like to express sincere gratitude to All the extended Arcticbreeze family for cherishing our puppies, to all fellow mushers and exhibitors for their continuous friendship encouragement and support and of course to the judges who have thought so highly of our dogs.
