I decided to take a step back from the show scene this year with all of our dogs well into their veteran years I felt it was time to cherish a little more time at home and catch up on all those 'Getting round to jobs' and some long overdue hollibobs!
Still checking out a few dog shows and events, In May I was honoured to judge at the AMCUK show and have a lovely day catching up with folk.
Of course at this point I was missing the shows but felt I didn't want to take my dogs (now getting older) week in week out to the shows so started to look for a possible addition.
A lot of research and I have to admit disappointments followed. However, I am delighted to say 'Mollie Mort' will be joining our pack real soon and I look forward to getting back in the swing of things later in the year!
Back in the ring after a little break we hit the ground running with or first show of the year Boston, BOB and the 22nd CC for Echo under Mrs Sarah Robinson one of the most respected people in the Sled Dog Community.

The weekend of National Working & Pastoral Breeds & the Alaskan Malamute Club Open show was a highlight of the Arcticbreeze Kennel to date with Echo making her debut in the Veteran and going BEST VETERAN IN SHOW at both events. Heat break however followed with Misty becoming very ill and at Christmas we were devasted when Mikey suddenly passed away. We we left shell shocked and broken.
Only a handful of shows for 2016 for us this year but I kept busy with lots of local stewarding appointments. As Storm & Squeak were in their twlight years and somewhat day to day health wise, we wanted to cherish everyday with and not spend days away from home, for both Wayne and I this was our priority. On the 4th of July we was both devastated with the passing of our first malamute Storm .
