About Storm
Storm is our first Malamute. She was bred by Maggie Auty of Koldsnap. Luckily for us we only live three miles away from Maggie so we got to see Storm in the litter many times, she was the only girl in the litter and first daughter of Int Ch Chayo Blue Thunder the first UK champion. Her Mum Chayo Vanilla Ice has had many successes in the show ring including a Best in Show, One CC and a Reserve CC.
Storm is top dog in our pack and is very chilled out and relaxed although she likes to have a mad half hour running around the garden with her kids, Storm has a lovely personality and likes nothing more than to settle down to an evening of TV on the sofa. Everyone who meets Storm falls in love with her character and cheek as she usually makes her first job checking for treats and biscuits.
We showed Storm initially just for a bit of fun, as time has gone on she has taken to running around the ring wooing much to the amusement of the crowd. Strangely enough her Mum does the same thing.
Storm has won many large classes and gained her Stud Book number 2007 which qualified her for Crufts for life.
In 2009 we were very proud when she received a lovely trophy for Top Brood Bitch in the Alaskan Malamute Club Awards.
She attended Crufts 2009 and we were over the moon when she gained 1st place in Limit Bitch. Although Storm has been very lightly shown this year she has won a Best Bitch in Breed & A Reserve Best Bitch in Breed . March 2010 saw Storm make her debut in the veteran class at Crufts getting a respectable third place
Occasionally Storm has a run out in harness she completed Sherwood sled rally this year with daughter Breeze and came over the finish line very pleased with herself.
