Mikey  is everything we could have hoped for and has excelled in the show ring winning many Breed Classes  Crufts 2010 gave Mikey a first place in Limit Dog, this gave Mikey his Stud book number at only 18 months of age and qualified him for Crufts for life.

His first year in the show ring gave him many Best Puppy in Breed awards & Top Puppy Dog in the Alaskan malamute of the Year Awards,  he also won Reserve Best in Show at the Alaskan Malamute Speciality Show 2010

He is quietly confident and has such a pleasing temperament; he loves to play with his buddies but also likes a sneaky cuddle before bedtime. Mikey is probably one of the happiest Malamutes you will come across, to the point he wags his whole backend not just the tail!!!!

In harness is where Mikey is in his element, he has so much power and an overwhelming desire to run, he is so focused a real pleasure to watch him enjoy himself alongside his litter sister Misty on the trails and more recently he has paired up with Gracie to show her the ropes.

Mikey also shows off to spectators and we have many photos of him without a paw on the ground, he just loves the trails

Having just completed his fourth season in harness, Mikey has not been out of the top three placing’s to date.

We were thrilled that Mikey Won Top Working Malamute of the 2010  and  Runner up in 2009 also winning the BSHRA championship for the Malamute class for 2009/ 2010.

What the judges had to say...
"Another lovely flashy male that I have admired. Lovely expression and type, nice oblique eyes, good ear set and shape, good bone and compact feet, nice length of hock, correct harsh coat. Moved with a effortless gait, well presented and pushed 1 hard RBIS.."
"Class with a variance of type. This boy scored on soundness, overall shape was good and the angles correct. In excellent coat, not the strongest of heads but still quite pleasing, clean both coming and going with an excellent side gait."
"On another day these two could change places. Good type, liked his size, shape & movement. I am sure he could do the job."
"Good type but not as strong in head as 1 being a tad narrow in muzzle. Strong topline & rear assembly that gives him an effortless stride & true movement, hard muscle toning, correct tail carriag."
