aka Squeak

Our rescue girl Squeak

We received a phone call from the local vets telling us a 9 year old Malamute was due to be put to sleep that day because the owner no longer wanted her, we got to the vets just in time to find Zuki obviously not a full Malamute, very fat, smelly, with all of her coat hanging out. She was like a lost soul an empty shell. So home she came, straight in the bath and had a good blast and groom, at first a little disruptive, she would howl for a period of time for no apparent reason. She never wagged her tail or wanted any affection.

Time went on as we searched for the forever home for her, a change of job meant she was able to come to work in the daytime, slowly but surely she learnt to play, enjoyed having a fuss and being in company, she became part of the furniture at work and after a few months we realized we just couldn't be parted from her. Now affectionately referred to as 'Squeak' she has permanently joined our gang.
