Sherwood Rally kicked off the month, Misty , Mikey, Sid & Echo ran in the Husky class non competively and team Muskets ran in the three dog class gaining 4th Place, LKA champ show was the following week, Echo & Breeze were placed second in her classes Sid had a fantastic day winning Open Dog and subsequently the Reserve Ticket, this being his third. Forest of Dean Rally followed where Team Muskets were the highest place All malamute team placed third and the four dog team Misty Mikey Sid & Echo placed second again highest placed all Malamute team.


First rally of the season was Forest of Dean.Timmy Wiz & Gracie our three Dog team win the class, as Wayne had to go alone is was only feasible to run one team but Mikey & Misty enjoyed the one dog and scooter class. Lisa had a judging appointment and was lucky enough to have an entry of over 20 dogs.



Waiting for the temperature to drop to start training for the working season we only had Midland Counties Champ Show this month and were delighted to see Echo gain her 7th CC and Sid came 2nd in his class


The Alaskan Malamute Speciality Show was at the end of September, We were delighted to win that Breeze won her Veteran Class and Echo was placed 2nd, Timmy made a rare appearance in the show ring gaining third place.

Driffield followed Sid gained a third, echo a second and Misty had a day out gaining Reserve place, Our Alaskan Malamute Championship show followed always a great day with almost 200 exhibits, Echo came second in Open Bitch and Breeze won the Veteran Class. Timmy did us proud getting a third in a huge Post Graduate Class

Darlington was a lovely show Echo was placed second in Open Bitch , Sid third in Open Dog, Timmy made a rare appearance getting a forth place and Breeze won Veteran Bitch, Best Veteran In Breed and then went on to gain Veteran Working Group 4, what a wonderful day.


Busy month starting off with Paignton, Sid got a respectable Reserve and Echo was placed second in Open, Few days later was a girly trip to Bournmouth where Echo and Breeze both won their class and Sid was placed second in his class, Echo went on to gain a Reserve CC, Thank you to Sarah for handling Sid & Alanna for taking Breeze in the challenge. Next show was internationally respected judge Mr Rony Doedijns at WKC, Sid won a huge Limit class and Echo was placed third.



Misty and Breeze made an appearance a for National Working & Pastoral the following week gaining a third in Veteran for Breeze and a forth for Misty in Open. Our Club specialty show followed where Breeze won veteran Bitch, Misty was placed third in limit and Echo won Open Bitch, she then went on to win Best Bitch, Best Opposite Sex and Reserve Best In Show. Huge thank you to fellow exhibitor Simon Molloy (Wintablizard) for handling Echo and Wayne for handling Breeze and Misty as I was unable to due to hurting my leg.

Arcticbreeze do the double

East of England was a day never to forget, Sid won limit dog and then went on to win his first CC. Handled to perfection by Sarah Towers, At this point I thought my day couldn't get any better but Echo won a huge very strong Open Bitch class and then went on to win her sixth ticket, I was so proud to have these litter mates do battle for Best of Breed which went to Echo. Kavaanni was placed forth in Open Dog . Many thanks to breed specialist Nicola Singh for this truly amazing day.

Blackpool was a busy day, Sid was placed third in Limit Dog , Misty won Limit Bitch gaining her stud book number and hot on her heals was Keisha her daughter handled by Wayne who was placed second. Kavaanni was third in Open Dog and Echo was placed forth in Open Bitch,

My first judging appointment at Crewe and District Canine Society, A very enjoyable day and some lovely dogs to go over, Looking forward to the next appointment already. A chilled day out with Sid at Three Counties where he was placed second in Open Dog. I also handled for the first time ‘Savvy’ a Black Russian Terrier owned by Shirley Hockenhull to win BPIB

Border Union with Sid and Echo was next, lots of fun Sarah handled Sid (thanks Sarah) winning Limit dog and gaining the RCC, Echo gained her fourth CC we floated all the way home. Blackpool was a busy day, first in was Sid who gained third in limit dog, next was Kavanni handled by Wayne also placed third in open dog, next in limit bitch I handled Misty who won her class and Wayne handled Keisha (Misty’s daughter) to second place. Echo was placed reserve in a strong Open Bitch class. I also handled Siberian Husky ‘Karma’ and gained third place in Open Dog.

Work commitments meant a couple of shows were missed but a lovely weekend in Scotland at SKC with Sid, Echo & Breeze, Sid was placed second in limit, Echo wins her class and Breeze is placed second. Echo gained her fourth CC in some tough competition, Once again many thanks to Alanna for handling Breeze. The next outing was Bath, just Breeze and Timmy for this one, Breeze won her veteran class and Timmy was placed third in a huge Post Graduate class


WELKS was a day to remember under Judge Liz Dunhill, Sid was placed third in Limit Dog, Echo and Breeze both won their class. Echo went on to win her third CC and this crowned her a CHAMPION. Many thanks to Sarah Towers for handling Sid and to Alanna Blaney who took Breeze in the challenge for me. I was also co-opted onto the Alaskan Malamute Club UK committee.

MOYA AWARDS 2012 Echo reserve top bitch & reserve overall top malamute, Misty top brood bitch, breeze 5th veteran, Sid 9th overall top malamute and 5th top dog, Mikey 14th top stud dog.


Crufts 2013
Taking four dogs to Crufts is always a challenge but no the less we managed it, was first up was Timmy who was placed third in Post Graduate, next was Sid winning Limit Dog handled by Sarah Towers of Wintadreama Kennels, Breeze handled by Wayne Won Veteran Bitch, Keisha handled by Wayne owned by Gill and Tom Woodall was placed reserve and finally Echo won the Limit Bitch class. Needless to say we were over the moon with the days results.

Final rally for the season for us at Langdale , What a hill that was !!!!! A few weeks to chill before Crufts


Kershope was our first rally of 2013 and what a muddy one it was too, Running our Three & four dog teams placed second and third in the class. Next rally was Sherwood, a fantastic trail both teams having great runs, Wayne placed second in the C2 with Misty Mikey Sid & Echo & Lisa placed second in the E2 with Timmy, Gracie & Wizz both teams were fastest Malamute teams in their class.


The following weekend was Manchester Championship show so it was a busy week prior getting the dogs clean, another great result for Echo winning her class then going on to gain her second CC. Breeze won the veteran class and Sid was placed third in Limit Dog. Thrilled was an understatement !!!! Many thanks to judge Ann Arch for thinking so highly of her

Then we were straight of for our annual holiday in Aviemore where we competed in the country’s largest sled dog race gaining second in the C2 and third highest placed All Malamute team in the E2 class.
