No rallies this month.Preparation for Lka champ show which was to be Sid & Echo’s first show at just six months of age was a challenge with the freezing conditions, however the hard work was made worth while.Despite getting stuck in traffic and arriving only 5 minutes prior to judging Sid won his class,  Echo won her class and the two went head to head for Best Puppy in Breed . Sid won Best Puppy in Breed, we were over the moon!

Mikey did us proud being placed third in a very strong class and Breeze made her comeback after her litter and over a year out of the ring gaining reserve. Thank you to Breed Specialist Sue Ellis for thinking so highly of our dogs.

Our local rally Delemere was at the beginning of the month,  first rally of the season for us , all the puppies came to see what it was all about and it was wonderful to see some of the puppies from our summer litter, Iona, Kavaani, Keisha all looked stunning it was lovely to see all the pups reunited and having a good play and getting dirty.

Misty and Mikey were placed third.  A long but fun day.  Really nice to catch up with friends we had not seen since the end of the season

We planned to go to Quantock Quest Rally however Mikey injured his paw a couple of weeks before, although he was sound we decided to rest him until the cut was completely healed.

Both litters are growing very fast and almost ready to go to their new homes!

Following the Alaskan Malamute Club AGM, The Moya awards were presented. We were delighted to receive two very special Awards .

Mikey won the Alaskan Malamute Top Working Dog
Misty won the Alaskan Malamute Top Working Bitch

Competition has been very tough this year as the popularity of the sport increases.   Wayne Misty & Mikey have  won some  big  classes some with over 40 entries.

Our Dogs have only lightly been shown during 2009 & despite  they dogs are amongst the Top Malamutes listed  in the showing results.

Last of the  rallies this month as the weather is warming up  now. First of the month was the last Bshra  rally down at Brandon Park. We have had a very successful season  with Bshra this year and we delighted to win the Championship for the Malamute Class .

A few days after came Crufts, Once again dispite qualifying Breeze & Misty stayed at home because they were out of Coat. This was our first show for over five months so we were all a little rusty, which made  winning the very strong Limit Dog Class with Mikey a very special moment for us. Mikey now has his stud book number which qualifies him for life to compete at Crufts. Mikey is now the third  pup we have bred to achieve this award.

Storm made her debut in veteran, out to entertain as usual,  she wagged her tail & woo’ed throughout the class.  she got a very respectable 3rd place up again some outstanding competition.

Our final rally was Dyfnant rally in Wales a new trail for us. Misty & Mikey won the D2 class.  Breeze enjoyed her day on the trials with Jamie & Nuka ( Arcticbreeze Celtic Mist)  and finished in 3rd place

Misty & Mikey gaining a first & second place at Thetford Forest,  Then a win   at Pembrey.  Litter sister Nuka made her Debut on the trail in a two dog team running with Breeze.  Sherwood was our next rally,  Misty & Mikey won  their race!!!
